At present our international partner is seeking an IT Service Engineer for their Bucharest location.
Duties:
* Administer Redhat ES4.x servers and windows XP workstations running in a high availability environment
* Linux/Windows administration – shell scripting, performance tuning, security policies implementation, proactive monitoring, update and patch management.
* Collaborate with the Data Management System administrator.
* Able to configure and install new hardware and software.
* Support Project Team in the design of the customer/project network.
* Support deployment of Network Infrastructure at customer’s premises.
* Ensure customer network infrastructure is available.
* Establish and maintain a support environment based on CSM to respond to customer requests and incident reports; determine underlying causes to reduce incident report levels
* Ensure records and archives are maintained to support business requirements, such as backup schedules.
* Assist other CSU teams in improving global CSU standards and procedures.
* Support Product Security Network Operations as a contact to the centralized management.
Experience & Skills Required:
* 3+ years of hands on Operating Systems (Linux and Windows) experience.
* Strong experience in TCP/IP networks (wired and wireless) and VPN/firewall solutions (Nokia, CheckPoint).
* Disaster Recovery Plan
* JBoss, Back-up, Java and MySQL experience.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
* Demonstrated leadership in service and customer orientation.
* Results oriented and goal driven achievement with strong quality focus.
* Experience in Network and Infrastructure deployment and support.
Personal Profile:
* Bachelors degree or equivalent working experience in IT Supports and Networks
* Excellent people leadership and interpersonal skills, effective communicator, innovative and good influencing skills
* Proven ability to work with a specialist, high performing and multi-cultural team.
* Ability to engender positive and reliable work attitude when confronting with high pressure business situations
